Basel 2025 Aftermath: How Much Time Do We Have Left?

A close call. A near miss. Disaster averted. Our collective Eurovision-lives flashing before our very eyes. These are just some of the ways Eurovision fans and creators have described their experience during the Basel 2025 points reveal just over two weeks ago.

There’s a lot we could say, and will later tonight, but first we want to share some of our favorite creator reactions to this year’s final voting sequence.

The tears and joys and hugs and relief expressed in these clips speaks volumes and there’s been much deep and thoughtful analysis from the community of fan creators shared every day since the final, not to mention requests from various broadcasters and politicians for continued conversations around this season’s events, including reviewing the televote system to “avoid external interference and manipulation.”

We can only hope those calls aren’t pushed aside for more corporate crisis management instead of actual reform this year, so we can go into next year’s final voting sequence with curiosity and excitement instead of wondering if we’re about to witness the end of our beloved song contest.

Be sure to tune in to our livestream tonight June 2nd at 6pm ET (12am CET, so subscribe to watch later at your convenience), where we’re going to discuss and dissect this year’s Eurovision season as well share our hopes for 2026 and beyond.
