Do you remember your first-ever performance: Yes, I remember my first performance. I was 18 years old and I literally went from the bathroom to the big stage and I remember being very brave. Maybe braver than I am today.
What inspired your song? Did you write it “for” Eurovision?: I got the inspiration [instantly] and everything happened spontaneously. The song was created later specifically for Eurovision, but originally I heard a melody that sounded like something like that. Among other things, being part of Eurovision is one of my biggest wishes.
How do you plan to bring your song to “life” on the stage?: I will try to give all my energy to this song. I’ve already been dedicated to this song for 6 months and I’ve never entered any of my songs with so much power and love, and I hope that people will see and feel that.
What’s your first “Eurovision memory”?:The first performance I remember at Eurovision, besides performers from Serbia such as Marija Serifovic and Željko Joksimovic, is Sakis Ruvas. I also love Loreen, I love their songs and performances very much.
Is there a Eurovision song you’d like to cover?: Definitely Sakis Ruvas, “Shake It”. I love that thing so much, it is so my energy 🙂
What song is currently stuck in your head?:If it refers to last year’s Eurovision song, it is definitely the Romanian Song by WRS
When you were a kid, what musician or singer did you look up to?:Well, it is certainly someone from our scene in the Balkan[s]. I really love and respect Dino Merlin‘s work always and forever.
What song in Pesma za Evroviziju 23′ would you want to “remix” and make your own?:Filip Balos- “Novi plan drugi san“ is song I can see myself singing it.
What language do you like the sound of, even though you don’t know how to speak it?:I think I would do well in Spanish and Italian.
What’s the most useless thing you’ve ever learned in school?: I think 80% of things are useless hahaha. I’m kidding— everything is always useful because you never know when you’ll need some information. It is good to be informed about everything and I think that a man with a lot of information is a rich man.
Do you think you could win Eurovision 2023?: Well, I think that each of us who participates this year can and has the right to win. I believe in myself, I believe in the song, the performance and my energy, and I think that is my main [strength]. But let’s wait for the performance and see how I will present everything. I’ll do my best!
