Broderick Jones, who describes his music as truthful and a combination of “Justin Bieber and Drake”, wants to become the biggest star from his home state, mostly known for its corn and farms. And he is well on his way.
In 2014, he released his debut single “Cuddle“, a gentle acoustic song. Suddenly, it became a hit, and led to a singing career which he only took off after high school. Two years later, however, he was featured in the track “Pokemon U”, which has hit 34 million hits as of 2022.
Since then, Broderick has released two eps — Me in 2017 and Untold in 2019, before releasing his debut album Maybe Tomorrow in 2021.
His American Song Contest track, “Tell Me”, features a slow start before it hits a beat. Beyond the track, Broderick showcases himself through the night-time staging–his interest in creative direction shows through the moonlight ambiance and the dancers.
But will it be worth it? Tune in to the April 4 episode to see if he makes it out of his semi-final!
